Kid Rock plans on celebrating the 15th anniversary of his most popular album, Devil Without a Cause, in a unique way. Next year Rock is going to re-record the whole album, which was originally released in August 1998.

Rock tells Billboard that he's doing it so he can have ownership of the new masters for licensing and because he feels that some of the songs have evolved over the years. He says, "Some of them will be exactly like they were and some of them will have the sensibilities of what we've learned playing those songs live for 15 years. I'm not going to say they're going to be better than the originals; that's tough to top. But I think there's something special about them that people will dig."
