Thanks Edgeheads for voting for your favorite local bands to play Edgefest VII. The Top 5 vote getters are being judged and we will announce the winner Thurday April 7 at 5pm.

Around 70 competed for the spot at Edgefest and we had more than 30,000 votes in total for the contest! Thanks local music edgeheads!

Thanks to all the great local bands that are competing in The Battle For Edgefest!  Voting ends Sunday night (4/3) at 11:59:59pm.  Around 70 bands are competing!  It's amazing to see so many talented bands participating this year.

I wish we could have every band play Edgefest but we just have one spot this time around and we can't wait to get the Top 5 vote getters into the judge's hands for their big decision.  Reps from Atlantic Records, Roadrunner Records, Reprise Records, Victory Records, and 10th St, Entertainment / Eleven Seven Music will score each of the Top 5 and the band with the highest judge's score will open Edgefest.

In the meantime, keep voting and be sure to listen to The Arkansas Edge every Sunday night at 8pm for two hours of outstanding local talent!  No other station has such a commitment to the scene!  We love our local bands and can't wait to see the winning band play in front of thousands at Edgefest!
